Ethos is providing CIMPOR with Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis Training hosted online. Each workshop is facilitated by a Senior Incident Investigation consultant with dedicated tech support to ensure for a smooth and engaging experience.

CIMPOR is Portugal’s largest cement company and operates in 12 other countries, with its international expansion including recent acquisitions in Tunisia, Brazil, Egypt and Morocco.

The scope of work is to provide each plant in Portugal with a cross-functional group to systematically review all lost-time incidents as identified by the Incident Reporting System and to develop an action plan to avoid repetition of problems and chronic failures.

Ethos is providing key personnel within Cimpor with the core knowledge and skills to be an effective team leader or a valuable member of an investigation team. Ethos are providing training suitable for different personnel within the organisation:

  • Apply a methodical technique to identify the sequence of events that resulted in the serious occurrence (Events and Conditional Factors Analysis).
  • Understand how to determine the critical factors
  • Determine the root causes using various analytical tools (Fault Tree Analysis and 5 Why’s or others)
